We recently returned from the South of Iceland, specifically from Vik...a town of only 300. The drive to Vik from Reykjavik is an impressive one, miles and miles of untouched mountains guide your way for a good 2 hours before a final descent straight down to the black sand beaches of this tiny coastal town.
Sarah and I spent 3 nights at the Nordur Vik Hostel, documenting the day to day life of the guest house owner Aesa; a soft spoken women who treated us more like family than the strangers we were. Each morning we woke to the smell of fresh baked bread, homemade jams and a view that made us absolutely speechless.
